Cramerotti Custom Racing

Our Tradition

From the first weld to the final clear coat, every Cramerotti frame is hand-made and hand-painted by career bicycle craftsmen and women in Veneto, Italy. It is an artisan tradition that has been passed down for generations by people who have taken great pride in their work, raised and provided for their families by aspiring to and achieving a reputation for building the world's finest bicycles. We believe this tradition to be fundamental to the origin and the spirit of our company, and work to secure its future in an era of digital communication, global competition and an unprecedented potential for cooperation.

Our History

Tullio Cramerotti, 1927

Friendly with legends like Cesare Rizzato, and Tullio Campagnolo against whom he raced in the late 1920's, Tullio Cramerotti was "direttore sportivo" for many years. He organized many races including an event to bring Fausto Coppi, "il Campionissimo," to his home town, Rovereto, an event which he personally fully sponsored. Tullio frequently aided promising young cyclists. That philosophy of sponsorship fostering excellence in the sport continues today at Cramerotti.

By the age of fourteen Tullio's son, Giuseppe, knew his life's calling. He too had developed an unrivaled passion for the sport. When he could no longer race, Guiseppe turned his enthusiasm and perfectionism to the art of building frames.

Guiseppe moved to Canada, where he changed the face of high end road cycling. There he made CRAMEROTTI the best selling custom Italian-crafted frames in the country by word of mouth alone. Still not satisfied, Giuseppe is continues to work to make CRAMEROTTI the most respected Italian custom frame throughout all of North America.

Giuseppe's son William began his education in the bicycle industry by sweeping floors at the age of twelve, literally learning the business from the ground up. Blessed with the opportunity to converse with industry leaders at every stage of his development, William spent much of his early years travelling through Europe and Asia visiting the sources of production for the bicycle world. Wrapping up his degree in California, William entered the family business full time, working in product development and what is surely a Buddhist exercise in patience--website design.
